Sample Plots of Selected Variables Available in Both
ISCCP-ScaRaB DX and ScaRaB A2

Selected variables available in both the ISCCP-ScaRaB DX and ScaRaB A2 datasets are available here for display as JPEG images. The variables include the ScaRaB observed narrowband radiances and ERBE ADM-converted TOA radiative fluxes. One day (May 1, 1994), daytime data are plotted for illustration purpose only.

TOA Narrowband Radiances

VIS (0.55 - 0.65 um) IRW (10.5 - 12.5 um)
VIS (0.55 - 0.65 um) IRW (10.5 - 12.5 um)

(Note that the radiances are plotted using the reported values in the ScaRaB A2 dataset. No adjustments are performed to account for the effects due to different Sun-Target-Satellite geometries at different locations.)

TOA Broadband Radiative Fluxes

SW (0.2 - 4.0 um) LW (4 - 50 um)
SW (0.2 - 4.0 um) LW (4 - 50 um)
