INS JULY 1998 FAMILY #1781 - Bay of Bengal

INS FAMILY #1781 is located over the Bay of Bengal, centrally at 11.39 latitude 87.42 longitude. The system lasted 27 hours and is presented here inside a 40 degree window, where the center of the CS is designated by a diamond.

Using the CTread software available at this site a match was found between the CT database and TRMM data by searching on July 9, 1998, latitude 12.0, longitude 87.5, nominal time of GMT 0. To view the search output click here.

Because of the nature of the TRMM orbit a match between the datasets does not always result in TRMM data coverage for an entire CS area. This can be seen in in the examples above.
